KPMG, a name synonymous with excellence in the professional services world, provided me with a unique and challenging chapter in my journey as an OutSystems developer. From December 2020 to February 2022, I had the opportunity to not only sharpen my technical skills but also to collaborate with talented individuals across various disciplines.
Tackling Complex Challenges
My role at KPMG was Application Manager, which involved developing and supporting OutSystems applications, both Traditional and Reactive, for a diverse portfolio of internal clients. The dynamic nature of consulting meant delving into different departments and understanding their unique needs.
One particularly engaging project involved working with a Internal Audit Application that was part of storage and documentation for the KPMG audit clients, this was also my first time building and maintaining BPT processes. This experience highlighted the versatility of OutSystems in building robust solutions.
Beyond the Code
Working at KPMG wasn't just about writing code; it was about understanding the bigger picture. The emphasis on client interaction honed my communication and problem-solving skills.
The company's focus on digital transformation, as increasing the Outsytems usage in it's full capabilities and more recent update in order to ensure a future of more fast and dynamic application building that would allow for a more digital infrastructure of the company, this further fuelled my passion for leveraging technology to drive positive change.
Growth & Lessons Learned
My time at KPMG played a significant role in my development as an OutSystems developer. First because it was the first Outsystems job, but mostly by gained invaluable experience in building applications with great care for security and audit needs, working with large datasets and documents as efficiently as possible, and also on the complex integrations with other systems which were mostly a bit outdated but added a layer of challenges which I took with great pleasure, learning parallel systems, languages and methodologies were a great knoledge foundation.
Looking back, I'm grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such a reputable organization. The lessons learned and the connections made will undoubtedly serve me well in the future.

Today, as I embark on a new phase of my career, I carry with me the invaluable experience gained at KPMG. My commitment to delivering impactful solutions and continuously expanding my skillset remains stronger than ever.
