Joining AXIANS represented a pivotal move as it took me from an in-house product team to a dynamic, client-facing role, presenting a new set of challenges and an opportunity to apply my development skills on a global stage.

My primary engagement at AXIANS was on a demanding yet incredibly rewarding project: developing a large-scale procurement platform for UK local government. This wasn't just about building an application; it was about engineering a system that could operate flawlessly within the stringent and complex framework of UK public sector regulations. Joining the project midway, I had to rapidly integrate with the team and assimilate a sophisticated architecture, translating intricate legal and procedural requirements into robust, reliable code.

The public sector operates with a level of rigor that is unique. Every feature required meticulous attention to detail, from ensuring workflows matched mandated approval processes to implementing security protocols that met government standards. Ensurring reliability, clarity and transparency was a non-negotiable aspect of public service technology. Collaborating closely with UK-based business analysts and stakeholders was crucial, requiring clear communication to ensure every nuance of the regulations was captured perfectly in the software.
This role imrpoved my ability to understand client needs in a highly regulated environment and deliver solutions that are not only technically sound but also fully compliant, which made me remember the demanding and burocratic experience from KPMG. The experience solidified my interest in applying advanced technologies, like AI, to streamline complex budocuments and perfect an OCR tool using EU based AI company Mistral.I am driven to explore how intelligent automation can solve these high-stakes challenges.

While the nature of consulting means that projects have a defined lifecycle, my time on this engagement was invaluable. I'm immensely grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to such a critical piece of public infrastructure, and I carry the lessons in precision, security, and stakeholder management forward, eager to apply them to the next great challenge.
